Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Help Power The Generator

The Generator Runs on Community.

As a non-profit organization, The Reno Generator relies on volunteers and community members to help support our staff with events, classes, community projects, and day-to-day operations.

Volunteering at The Generator is more than just giving back to the community - it’s an opportunity to build connections, gain hands-on experience, attend events at free or discounted rates, and gain unique insight into Reno’s local art and maker culture. For some, these opportunities have even opened the door to new careers, professional connections, and valuable trade skills.

One young volunteer who joined a Generator build crew went on to become the youngest welder to ever work on a Burning Man art project, gaining real-world experience and a promising career path through connections made in our community.
